Job Description

HMIS Coordinator

 

FUNCTION: Serves as a technical assistance, training, data entry back up, and connectivity resource for participants in HMIS of Summit County and cooperates with fellow staff to achieve project goals.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1.      Establishes sound working relationships with area non-profit organizations.

2.      Identifies and assists agencies with a need for entering data to ensure all data entry in the Summit County HMIS is current, accurate and up to date.

3.      Assists the HMIS Administrator with training for Bowman’s ServicePoint software as needed.

4.      Assists the HMIS Administrator with answering the Technical Support Hotline and maintaining a database of subscriber problems and solutions. Works with HMIS Administrator to ensure reliable Hotline hours.

5.      Works with participating non-profit organizations to improve their use of technology and connectivity.

6.      Assists in monitoring existing implementation of the HMIS of Summit County.

7.      Analyze HMIS data and create statistical reports for agencies and decision makers in the community.

8.      Updates HMIS Administrator on a weekly basis.

9.      Seeks areas for improvement within HMIS agencies to make the process more efficient and works with HMIS Administrator to implement with all end users.

10. Attend HMIS advisory Committee meetings and HMIS User Group Meetings.

11. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Position Qualifications:

 

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related work experience is required. Experience in working with relational databases is required. Extensive understanding of Microsoft Office and ability to learn and teach software to adult learners with diverse skill sets required. Must have intermediate to advanced data entry skills. Must possess excellent communication skills. Reliability is essential. Familiarity of social services in our community a plus. Commitment to teamwork and willingness to exceed expectations are desired. Must have a valid Ohio Drivers license and carry automobile insurance with necessary limits of liability coverage. Flexible scheduling is available. This is an hourly position which requires 20 – 25 hour work weeks based on need.

Ability to drive a car.

Ability to walk (including climbing stairs).
